COPRA PRODUCTION IN BOHOL
About 30% of the world's coconut production comes from the Philippines. On this small coconut farm post processing 'copra' is still a manual process. The coconut husks are removed by hand after they are impelled on a sharp implement. The meat of the coco is peeled out of the husk and placed in an open shed and dried on a bamboo grid placed over an open fire fueled with coconut shells which will then be sold as charcoal .
